Dana wanted to recreate & enlarge one of Chili Thom’s landscape paintings for her front entrance.
We used the grid method to sketch out the painting on a large canvas. Dana learned about positive & negative space plus colour mixing.
Albina wanted to create an original painting of the arch in Rivne, Ukraine for her mom.
We used images from the internet for composition & design, then created a pencil mock-up before enlarging on a wood panel. Albina learned about brush strokes & colour mixing.
Christina wanted a collaborative painting experience with her daughter. Her vision was to recreate the Lawren Haris painting called Island of MacCullam Lake.
We loosely used the grid method, allowing for personal interpretation and improvisation. Christina learned about shading and tertiary colour mixing.
Kathy wanted to recreate a painting of Port Stanley on Lake Erie, Ontario.
Her goal was to make the colours more rich & vibrant using acrylics vs water colours. She learned about colour mixing & using glazes and stains to enrichen colours.
